In this chapter, various types of compounds that contain the PN unit reported during the period of January 2014 to December 2014 have been documented. This chapter is organized into various subsections. A brief introduction is followed by a discussion on various types of acyclic compounds containing the PN unit including their use as ligands in coordination chemistry. This is followed by a discussion on cyclophosphazenes. Compounds possessing dendrimer-like structures and those that are dendrimers containing the cyclophosphazene core are discussed. Cyclophosphazene ligands and their metal complexes are also discussed. A description on the substitution chemistry of chlorocyclophosphazenes along with structural aspects of some chlorocyclophosphazenes are described. Polyphosphazenes and hybrid polymers containing the cyclophosphazene unit are also discussed. Finally, some of the emerging applications of the phosphazene compounds are presented.
