MW and water as solvent in cross-coupling reactions has profoundly changed the organic synthesis. It is certain that the microwave assisted coupling reactions in aqueous media will still continue to be a fast-moving topic for the next several years and it will not be surprising to find the microwave technology one of the most preferred methods in cross-coupling reactions in the near future. This chapter aims to describe several sustainable and economical protocols which have been developed in the past decades for cross-coupling reactions using microwave irradiation in aqueous media.
