Paul Hodgkinson is a Professor of Physical Chemistry at the University of Durham. His research group works in the areas of fundamental principles of solids NMR and its applications to chemical problems. In particular, the group develops methods for pharmaceutical solids and disordered systems using approaches that combine computation and experimental NMR. As well as having published over 90 papers in the field of NMR, he has co-authored a leading introductory text on solid-state NMR, and edited a recent volume on solid-state NMR techniques for the Royal Society of Chemistry's New Developments in NMR book series.
Josep Saurí obtained his PhD at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2014. He joined Merck Research Laboratories (MRL) in Rahway, NJ, USA as a postdoctoral fellow. He then relocated to Boston, MA, USA in 2016 to join Merck Research Laboratories as a Sr. Scientist first and Associate Principal Scientist later where he led the NMR structure elucidation group, a position he held until he returned to Barcelona, Spain. Soon after his return he joined the Autonomous University of Barcelona as Associate Professor in the Chemistry Department. He has co-authored more than 50 publications in the field of solution state NMR of small molecules, and he is a member of the Associate Editorial Board for the journal Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry.
