Section 3 recalls the use of quantity calculus. Examples of quantity calculus are given. For a number of quantities, different symbols and units are used in physics and chemistry. This chapter recalls in tabular form some of these quantities and symbols and gives approximate factors for the conversion of their numerical values in different systems of units. A particular table is devoted to the transformation of some equations used in electromagnetic theory. Text and tables are on 6 pages.
