The forensic examination of documents includes the examination of handwriting to identify authorship and the examination of signatures to establish authenticity. In addition, Forensic Document Examiners utilise a broad range of non-destructive techniques to study inks, paper, indented impressions and a host of other features to address legal issues. This chapter provides a summary of how handwriting and document examination is undertaken.
