The Master's course in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology at York, UK, started in 2001. It was supported by a large grant from the UK research councils and generous support from two very large companies. Over its 10+ years of history the course has evolved to become self-sufficient and to provide students with a wide range of skills for a large variety of careers. The student intake has also changed and become very international. The way that the course has changed and how it is adapting to new technical and socio-economic challenges will be discussed.
