Surfaces with special wettability are commonly seen in nature. Through imitating them, scientists have fabricated a large amount of materials, which have shown great potential applications in materials, especially in smart devices. A smart device is often a complex system consisting of two or more functional materials or surfaces to realize a given intention in an orderly manner. We identify a functionally cooperated smart device as such a system. In this chapter, we review the applications of superhydrophobic/superhydrophilic properties in the functionally cooperated smart device for a given complex intention.
