The van der Waals heterostuctures of two dimensional (2D) materials have attracted intense research interest recently. Among the existing ways to construct such heterostructures, chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is proven to be a promising route for synthesizing large area, high quality 2D materials and their heterostructures. This chapter reviews recent progress in the CVD growth of 2D heterostructures based on transition metal dichalcogenides.
