The aim of this study is to quantify the concentration of the 90Sr, 137Cs, natural radionuclides (210Pb, 226Ra and 228Ra) and metals (As, Co, Cs, Rb, Se, Th, U and Zn) in the flesh of marine fish species most consumed in São Paulo city. The radionuclides and metals concentration were low (but close to the level of detection) or below the MDA of gamma spectrometry, liquid scintillation counting and instrumental neutron activation analysis. The radionuclides and metals concentrations are below limit adopted by the Brazilian Regulatory Agency.
