Ezetimibe (Ez) is a lipid lowering compound which inhibits intestinal cholesterol and phytosterol absorption, hence it is used in primary hyperlipidemia treatment. It selectively inhibits the intestinal absorption of dietary and biliary cholesterol without affecting the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. Ez is used as antihyperlipidemic agent in conventional dosage but there is a need to control release of dosage. The present research deals the formulation and optimization of nano Ezetimibe by design of experiment regarding interactions of each factor and to get optimized conditions for preparation of nano formulation by two level full factorial design of quadratic model with response surface method.
