Apremilast is an inhibitor of Phosphodiesterase type 4 an enzyme which breaks down cyclic adenosine monophosphate while using the treatment of Psoriasis and arthritis. This is one of advanced oral drug with low side effects as comparatively other psoriatic drugs like adalimumab, etanercept, infliximab, ustekinumab, secukinumab, and cyclosporine.
