Through its many facets, Process Intensification (PI) is a complex topic that aims to shape the future of industrial attitudes towards sustainability. This chapter introduces the principles of PI and the strategies behind the approach. The benefits of PI are then described in relation to continuous flow, as a promising technique to deliver its goals, with respect to its impact on Green Chemistry. In particular, we highlight with some relevant laboratory and industrial examples how the principles of PI are brought to life using continuous flow technologies and connect intimately with many principles of the Green Agenda.
