Electrochemical biosensors are attracting the attention of the research community with their tremendous performance and affordable prices. Over the previous two decades, electrochemical biosensors have been introduced in many sectors including healthcare, the food industry, water and environmental monitoring, agriculture and many more. The incorporation of nanomaterials as interfaces also improved the performance of these biosensors. Miniaturization of these electrochemical biosensors and their integration with microfluidics and the internet of things will lead to the development of much more tiny and comfortable platforms for rapid analysis and onsite monitoring systems. These advancements may help to reconfigure our lives better. In this chapter we summarize the future scope of disposable electrochemical biosensors.
