The distributed energy system using renewable energy is expected as an energy supply system with low environmental impact. In order to make utilization of renewable energy increase, we should develop energy storage equipment and the operation optimization technique of the compound energy system. This technique is related with a microgrid or a smartgrid. In this chapter, the contents of each chapter are introduced briefly. Furthermore, the compound energy system described in this book is introduced.
