Since the mid-1950s, volumetric analysis has increasingly become a subject of automation, which ostensibly increases precision and accuracy in volumetric determinations. In this chapter we examine the principles of potentiometric, conductometric, coulometric and non-aqueous titrimetry, which are then contextualised by the following practical activities: determination of aspirin by non-aqueous titration; potentiometric titration of boric acid; determination of the lead conductance value of pale ale.
