This chapter follows on from the introductory material presented in Chapter 3 and provides a more detailed discussion of statistical analysis. The criteria for parametric and non-parametric statistical tests are discussed follow by step-by-step instructions for the Student's t-test (one-sample t-test, unpaired t-test and paired t-test), the F-test, Grubbs test for outliers, the Wilcoxon signed ranks test and the Mann-Whitney U-test.
