This chapter is dedicated to dynamic kinetic resolutions promoted by tetramisole catalysts. Since their first application in 2006 in asymmetric organocatalysis by Birman, chiral cyclic isothioureas have been shown to be capable of promoting asymmetric transformations of different types evolving through dynamic kinetic resolution. Indeed, enantioselectivities of up to 99% ee have been reported in esterifications and alcoholytic ring-opening reactions using tetramisole or benzotetramisole as promoters.
