This chapter is dedicated to dynamic kinetic resolutions promoted by chiral N-heterocyclic carbenes, which have emerged over the last few decades as some of the most important organocatalysts. Although significant progress has been made in this field, examples of these transformations remain rare. However, this chapter shows that excellent enantioselectivities of up to 98% ee have been achieved in different types of reactions, such as benzoin condensations, domino reactions and transesterifications.
