We now use the knowledge acquired so far to link ionics with electrodics, and obtain an overall picture of how ions travel from the bulk electrolyte to the electrode/electrolyte interface. A few concepts of charge transfer and mass transport are introduced, such as steady state, Nernst diffusion layer and limiting current.
