Chapter 5: Strategies and Methodologies for the Synthesis of Cyclic Ethers

Cyclic ethers are bioactive natural compounds, such as acetogenin and polyether antibiotics, that exhibit a broad range of biological activity. Therefore, the development of efficient methods for the synthesis of O-containing heterocyclic compounds is of importance in organic synthesis.
