The essential qualities of self-reference and self-organization originated from within the Singularity along with all other cosmic phenomena to create a universal environment. The physiologic properties of the cell are the product of the continuous endogenization of that external environment, in its own context. When biology is reduced to a network of cell–cell signaling among self-referential agents, evolution can be traced as a continuum to its roots in the Singularity.
