Hydrodynamics is about the movement of water. Both in the bulk liquid and at the molecular level, this can be affected by the presence of other molecules in the liquid. The way in which macromolecules move in solution and the way in which they change the way the solution flows give rise to a range of hydrodynamic techniques that can be used to study their structure and properties.
